Rutley Grove Storage Container delivered for Welsh House Farm.

On Friday afternoon Welsh House Farm took delivery of a brand new storage container facility that was placed at Rutley Grove (behind Blanford Road).

Thanks to West Midlands Police Active Citizens Fund bid the container will be a new joint hub for Welsh House Farm Community Gardening and new Welsh House Farm Community Cycling Club.

Over the Summer residents took part in a number of free activities in Rutley Grove Garden and around the car park which included vegetable growing project, 2 Dr bike checkup sessions, Haven Centre youth music creative session.

The idea was to have the container in place well before the summer to make maximum use of it but as we all know the Covid pandemic hit which put the process behind a bit.

The Big Local partnership fully consulted with the residents within the Rutley Grove area which also included a number of Birmingham City Council officials including Harborne councillors who all unanimously backed the plan and placement of the container.

If you are interested in becoming involved with making full use and access Rutley Grove Community Garden or want to help with being involved the cycling club then do get in touch with our project team leads at welshhousefarmcommunity@gmail.com or call 0121 427 4317 and they will get back to you.
